The Unique and Rewarding Benefits of a Career in Automation

The Automation field (Instrumentation and Control Systems) is one of the least common Engineering disciplines with no Engineering Major dedicated to Automation in the United States at this time.  A focus on personal and process safety through system monitoring and control make this an incredibly important field, leading the NCEES to provide a Principles and Practice of Engineering Examination (PE) in Control Systems.

The Kansas City Section of the International Society of Automation consists of engineers and technicians from different disciplines (including Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical engineering) who work in the Automation and Control System field.  We want motivated students aware the Automation career path is a viable option and encourage participation in this important and wide-ranging profession with a contribution toward the necessary education.
